Crime Spree in Residential Buildings of Mannheim: Witnesses Sought for Burglaries

Breaking News: Series of Burglaries Reported in Mannheim Districts

A wave of burglaries has hit several districts in Mannheim, with five incidents reported in the city districts of Innenstadt, Schwetzingerstadt, Rheinau, and Friedrichsfeld between Tuesday and Friday.

On Friday, burglars gained access to a residential building in Karl-Schwaner-Straße through an open window on the first floor and ransacked cabinets and drawers in all rooms. The residents, awakened by noises in the house shortly before three o'clock, noticed that they had uninvited guests. The police intervened in a suspected burglary attempt at a neighboring house, but the unknown persons were unsuccessful in gaining entry.

The identities of the perpetrators responsible for these burglaries remain unknown. No specific details about their identity or description were provided in the article.

On Tuesday evening to Thursday morning, unknown persons gained access to a storage unit in a multi-family dwelling in Kopernikusstraße and stole high-value watches and jewelry. The value of the loot stolen from the Kopernikusstraße multi-family dwelling is still unknown. Initial findings suggest that nothing was stolen from an apartment in the Quadrat M 1 on Thursday.

On Wednesday night in Friedrichsfeld, unknown perpetrators stole a low three-digit amount of cash from a basement apartment in Sufflenheimer Straße. Burglars also forced their way into an apartment in the Quadrat M 1, but initial findings suggest that nothing was stolen.

The police are still investigating these burglaries, and no new specific details about the identity or description of the perpetrators, the value of the stolen items, or the exact locations of the burglaries (except for Kopernikusstraße, Quadrat M 1, Sufflenheimer Straße, and Karl-Schwaner-Straße) were provided in this paragraph.

The police remind residents to close their roller shutters at night to avoid signaling their absence, even during the heat. Witnesses who have observed suspicious activities and can provide information about the perpetrators are asked to call the criminal police hotline of the Criminal Police Directorate Heidelberg at 0621/174-4444.
