Criminal act at a local supermarket: theft
On the morning of March 12, 2025, a robbery took place at the EDEKA store located on Kölner Straße, Sinzig. The incident occurred around 5:30 AM, and the police are urgently seeking the public's help in identifying and apprehending the two masked perpetrators involved.
According to the Mayen Criminal Police, the perpetrators entered the store via a side entrance and demanded access to a safe containing the day's earnings. The employees were physically unharmed during the robbery, and no customers were present at the time.
The police have described the two perpetrators based on witness accounts. Perpetrator 1 is approximately 180 cm tall, fair-skinned, slim, and speaks German with a possible southern accent. He wore a black balaclava, a black hoodie with a red and white print, a black leather jacket with quilted seams on the shoulders, dark blue gloves, black pants/jeans, and gray Nike sneakers with a white sole. He carried a black Umbro sports bag.
Perpetrator 2 is also approximately 180 cm tall, male, fair-skinned, slim, and speaks German with a possible southern accent. He wore a black quilted jacket with a round patch, a balaclava, blue disposable gloves, black pants/jeans, and white sneakers.
The perpetrators made their escape on foot with the stolen money after the robbery. The police are seeking information about any discarded clothing or equipment in the vicinity of the crime scene. Witnesses are asked to contact the Mayen Criminal Police if they observed the crime or any suspicious activities near the crime scene.
