Burglaries and Stolen Car Reported in Altentreptow
In recent developments, the Malchin Police Station has reported two incidents involving burglaries and a stolen car in the Tollense Shopping Park, Fritz-Reuter-Straße, Altentreptow.
On August 20, 2025, a burglary was reported at the shopping park. Unknown perpetrators attempted to break into a snack bar and a stationery store, but were unsuccessful. However, they managed to steal small tools, several cans of drinks, cash from the register, a supplier's wallet with its contents, and a car key for the delivery vehicle.
In a separate incident, a new Opel car from a car dealership in the industrial estate in Altentreptow was stolen. The exact date of the theft is not specified, but it is believed to have occurred overnight between August 12 and 13, 2025. The stolen car was later found on a field between Gnevkow and Sarow. The owner of the car has not been identified yet.
Malchin Police Station has confirmed the situation on site in both cases. They are currently seeking possible witnesses and urge anyone with information about the burglaries at the Tollense Shopping Park or the stolen car to contact them at 03994-2310.

In addition, officers from Malchin Police Station confirmed that an Opel car without license plates was found on a field between Gnevkow and Sarow on an unspecified date. The exact time of the incident on the field cannot be determined at this time.
It is also reported that the perpetrators caused property damage of €200 during their unsuccessful attempt to break into the stationery store. A burglary was successful in the immediate vicinity of the shopping park between 00:10 and 06:00.
The police are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities. They are working diligently to investigate these incidents and bring those responsible to justice.
