Criminal apprehended following theft incident
In a series of events that unfolded last night in Gorgasring, a 17-year-old suspect was arrested by responding police officers following an altercation that left a 24-year-old man unharmed.
The incident, which occurred around 21:50 hours, saw two teenagers threaten the man with a baseball bat. However, the man managed to display remarkable courage and wrestled the bat away from the attackers, striking both of them with it.
The arrest of the 17-year-old suspect was followed by residential searches at his home and the home of a 16-year-old suspect. During these searches, the driver's licenses, IDs, and presumably the 24-year-old man's money were seized. The older attacker, who managed to escape, was later identified during further investigations.
The 17-year-old suspect was not found with anything incriminating during the searches, while the 16-year-old suspect was not mentioned as being connected to the Gorgasring incident in the official report.
