Criminals are exploiting the auto lock feature of the Tesla Cybertruck, according to an owner. They caution that these individuals are experienced and advise drivers to manually secure their Cybertrucks for added safety.

In a shocking turn of events, a Tesla Cybertruck owner from California named Eduardo became the victim of a targeted car burglary at the Staples in Downey Landing, Downey, CA. The incident, which was captured on Sentry camera footage, saw a group of organized criminals exploiting the auto lock feature of the Cybertruck to gain access to the vehicle.

According to Eduardo, he had parked his Cybertruck and was unaware that his wallet was missing until he returned to his vehicle. Upon finding the center console open and his expensive sunglasses missing, he immediately chased the burglar, but was unable to catch him as the perpetrator sped away in a Hyundai Ioniq, sporting a distinctive Hello Kitty decal on the gas tank.

The getaway vehicle was followed by two accomplices, a man in a black T-shirt and a woman wearing a hat, who pulled up behind Eduardo. One of the burglars even followed Eduardo into a store to throw him off, opening the Cybertruck's door just before it automatically locked.

The first video shared by Eduardo shows the burglar following him into the store, while subsequent videos and pictures detail the car burglary in progress. The burglars, who were experienced and aware of the Cybertruck's auto lock feature, were able to exploit it to gain access to the vehicle.

Eduardo, in an effort to warn other Cybertruck owners, shared his story in the Tesla Cybertruck group on Facebook, urging them to manually lock their vehicles to prevent similar incidents. He also provided details about the getaway vehicle for anyone with information.

The burglary has been reported to the police and is still under investigation. Eduardo believes that he was targeted by three criminals working together, with one of the burglars wearing a blue shirt, another a black shirt with a hat, and a third being a woman who drove the getaway vehicle.

This incident has left fellow Cybertruck owners surprised and concerned about the organization of the criminals and the ease of exploiting the Cybertruck's features. Eduardo's story serves as a reminder to all vehicle owners to remain vigilant and to secure their vehicles manually, even when using advanced auto lock systems.
