Criminals make off with secure deposit box from eatery.
In the early hours of Monday, 8th September, a restaurant on Otto-Lilienthal Street in Euskirchen became the scene of a brazen theft. Unknown individuals forced open the entrance door of the establishment at around 2:40 AM.
Upon gaining entry, the perpetrators searched other rooms within the restaurant before making their way to a secure safe, which they violently removed from the floor. The safe, containing an undisclosed amount of cash, was then taken by the unknown individuals.
The direction of the safe's theft is unknown, and the extent of property damage in the restaurant is yet to be assessed. The police are currently investigating the case of aggravated theft, with the identities of the perpetrators remaining a mystery.
This incident has shocked the local community, with many expressing concern about the increase in such crimes. The restaurant owner, who wishes to remain anonymous, stated, "I can't believe this happened to us. We've always taken great care to ensure our premises are secure. I hope the police can catch those responsible and bring them to justice."
