Current police reports emanating from the Police Station in Stendal.

In the past few days, several incidents have taken place in the towns of Stendal and Havelberg, causing damage and injuries.

On September 5, 2025, at 8:00 PM, an elderly man operating an electric mobility scooter was noticed by a witness to appear heavily intoxicated on the streets of Havelberg. A blood sample was taken, and he was prohibited from continuing his journey.

On the same day, a traffic accident occurred on the B107 road in Havelberg involving a bus and a VW car. The driver of the VW car, an 18-year-old from Stendal, pulled out of a parking lot and failed to notice the bus, causing a collision. The bus was carrying 45 passengers who had visited the Havelberg horse market. Four passengers were injured in the incident and taken to Stendal hospital. The name of the 18-year-old driver is not disclosed. The bus driver could not prevent the collision, and both vehicles sustained damage in the low four-figure range. Damage to a fence was in the low three-figure range.

An investigation has been opened against the 18-year-old driver. Criminal police investigations are ongoing.

On September 6, 2025, at 00:57 AM, a fire occurred at Stendal train station. A male suspect was identified through video footage review, but no further details about the suspect have been released. The fire was initially extinguished by a witness using a fire extinguisher, and the fire department then continued to put out the remaining embers. A criminal proceeding was initiated against the suspect.

On the same day, at 7:05 PM, a 63-year-old was riding a bicycle and was stopped by police officers for a check. A breath test showed a reading of over 1.9 promille, and a blood sample was taken. An investigation has been opened against the man.

At 7:44 PM on September 6, 2025, a fire broke out on a grass area of approximately 30m2 on the Heerener Straße in Stendal for unknown reasons. The fire was quickly extinguished by the fire department, which arrived on the scene with 19 firefighters and 4 vehicles.

On September 7, 2025, at 01:27 AM, a fire occurred at Stendal train station. A 53-year-old was driving a Ford car without the necessary driver's license in Stendal. The police secured the vehicle key of the Ford car, and a criminal proceeding was initiated against the 53-year-old driver.

At the same time, a 51-year-old was stopped on Röxer Straße for a bicycle check, with a breath test showing a reading over 3 promille, and a blood sample taken. An investigation has been opened against the man.

On September 6, 2025, at 07:05 PM, a 26-year-old was riding an e-scooter without valid mandatory insurance. (New information) Similarly, a 16-year-old was found to be riding an e-scooter without valid mandatory insurance. (New information)
