Customs inspections in Steinfurt county's food establishments reveal widespread usage of unauthorized labor and illegal employment practices
In a shocking revelation, the Main Customs Office Münster has uncovered suspected cases of social security fraud in eleven catering establishments in the Steinfurt district. The inspections, conducted under the Law on Combating Undeclared Work, took place on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
During the inspections, four companies were suspected of undeclared work, with three of these companies found to employ people without a residence permit.
