On the parking lot "Am Heidenholz" on the A17 highway, the Main Customs Office in Dresden conducted a multi-day control measure from June 20 to June 22, 2025. Over the course of the operation, customs officers checked over 100 vehicles and nearly 300 persons.

During the control measure, several findings were made. On June 18, a driver of a Czech car was found to be carrying several packages filled with cannabis products during a customs inspection. The driver was initiated into a criminal proceeding, and nearly 600 packages of cannabis products were secured.

On the first day of the control measure, customs officers also checked a Serbian car and discovered several toolboxes and devices marked with various company logos, leading to the suspicion of stolen goods. The state police was called in for further action regarding the vehicle.

On June 19, a 27-year-old man from the Czech Republic was initiated into a criminal proceeding for carrying several joints of cannabis in his luggage during a customs control. A total of 20 kilograms of cannabis were found during the inspection of a Slovakian transporter on the same day. A criminal proceeding was initiated against the driver of the Slovakian transporter.

Just before the end of the control measure on June 20, a black Audi A6 with a Kosovar license plate was suspected of violating customs regulations, as no proof of customs clearance could be provided for the vehicle. A tax evasion proceeding was initiated against the driver for suspected evasion of import duties of around €4,500. However, there are no publicly available details about the driver of the Kosovar vehicle suspected of customs violations at the "Am Heidenholz" rest area on the evening of June 20, 2025.

In a separate incident on the same day, a 49-year-old Czech citizen was initiated into a criminal proceeding for possessing a pepper spray device without test marks in his car. The pepper spray device was secured as evidence.

In total, 24 criminal proceedings were initiated during the control measure, and 17 cases were transferred to other authorities.
