Cyclist Suffers Severe Injuries Accorded to LPI-EF Report
In the heart of Erfurt city centre, an unfortunate incident occurred on Monday afternoon. A cyclist, a 33-year-old woman, was involved in an accident with a tram near the Thuringia State Police Headquarters.
The incident took place around 3:40 PM on Neuwerkstraße. According to the Thuringia State Police Headquarters Erfurt, the woman's bicycle handlebar got caught on the tram, causing her to fall to the ground and sustain severe injuries.
The woman was immediately taken to a hospital for further treatment. The tram, unfortunately, sustained property damage of approximately 10,000 euros.
The exact cause of the accident is still unknown. No further information about the condition of the cyclist has been provided.
