Damage at Skatepark Oberasbach - Urgent Appeal for Witnesses (Political - France)
In the early hours of August 16, 2025, a group of nine youths caused significant damage at the Skatepark Oberasbach in Jahrstraße, Stein, Middle Franconia. The incident, which involved acts of vandalism and a fire, has left the city administration estimating the total damage to be around 5000 euros.
The police are currently investigating the incident, with the Police Inspectorate Stein seeking any information that may help identify the perpetrators. No arrests have been made so far.
The damage was extensive. Wooden boards from a park bench were set on fire, and the bench was completely torn out of its anchorage. Several spray-painted graffiti were also noted in the skate park. The fire was noticed by a witness around 09:30, and the fire brigade was alerted to extinguish the blaze.
