Dance artist in Guernsey revitalizing production of Little Shop of Horrors musical

The beloved 80s musical classic, Little Shop of Horrors, is set to make a triumphant return to the UK stage next year. The production, being presented in arrangement with Music Theatre International, will be staged at the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester.

This revival of the off-Broadway musical, which first premiered in 1982, will mark the show's return to the UK since 2007. The book and lyrics for Little Shop of Horrors are written by Howard Ashman, with music composed by Alan Menken, the creative duo behind Disney's Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid.

Thomas Hopkins is producing the production, and Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, a dance professional born in Guernsey, will direct and choreograph the production. Ingrouille, who recently choreographed the musical SIX, which was staged in both the West End and Broadway, is no stranger to the limelight. She received an Oliver and Tony Award nomination for her work on SIX.

The revival of Little Shop of Horrors is scheduled to open on September 25, 2026, and run until November 29. The Hope Mill Theatre, known for its innovative and exciting productions, is the perfect venue for this timeless musical.

Carrie-Anne Ingrouille's journey in the world of dance began at the Avril Earl Centre, where she was a student. The centre has congratulated its former student on her upcoming directing and choreographing roles, expressing their pride in her achievements.

Little Shop of Horrors began as a film in 1960, and it returned to the big screen as a hit comedy musical film in 1986. The stage revival at the Hope Mill Theatre promises to bring the same charm and excitement to UK audiences once more.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to witness a classic musical come to life. Mark your calendars for September 25, 2026, and get ready to step into the world of Little Shop of Horrors at the Hope Mill Theatre.
