Dayton Freight, a leading regional less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier, has expanded its reach further east with the opening of a new terminal in Bedford, Pennsylvania. This move is part of the company's continued growth deeper into the state.

The new terminal, a privately owned, nonunion carrier, will primarily provide one- and two-day service in the region. It will serve cities in Pennsylvania such as Altoona, Johnstown, Chambersburg, Carlisle, Harrisburg, and Hagerstown, Maryland. The terminal in Bedford will also serve Hagerstown, Maryland.

Dayton Freight has been serving Pittsburgh for nearly 40 years and currently employs more than 6,000 people. The company operates 2,000 tractors and 5,000 trailers, serving over 70 terminal locations throughout 15 Midwestern states.

Kevin Kueffner, Dayton Freight region vice president, expressed his excitement about the expansion, stating, "Customers in this area will now benefit from having direct access to key markets across the Midwest." He further added, "This expansion is a testament to our commitment to providing exceptional service to our customers."
