DC's Peacemaker Season 2 Hidden Treasures - All Cameos and References in the Returning Series

In the latest instalment of Peacemaker, the much-anticipated DC Universe series, a host of intriguing connections and references have been unveiled. Here's a roundup of some of the most noteworthy developments.

Emilia Harcourt and Rick Flag, Jr.'s relationship takes centre stage in Peacemaker season 2, offering a captivating twist in the ongoing narrative. Meanwhile, Frank Grillo's Rick Flag, Sr. continues to make a significant impact, appearing in all three official DC Studios releases to date.

The series also pays homage to Batman's rogues gallery, with a reference to Kite Man, a semi-obscure villain who uses kites as weapons. Nathan Fillion's Guy Gardner, known for his comic book counterpart's single gold tooth, remains true to form in the series.

The Sons of Liberty, an organisation aiming to overthrow the US government, make their appearance in Peacemaker, adding a political edge to the action-packed drama. Beaker, a beloved Muppet character, also makes a cameo, potentially hinting at a lighter tone.

Gotham, Batman's home city, is referenced, further deepening the show's connections to the wider DC Universe. Cara Delevingne's character June Moon, from Suicide Squad, is also mentioned in the new season, although the actress portraying her in Peacemaker season 2 remains a mystery.

The Justice Gang, a team different from the Justice League, is introduced in Peacemaker season 2. Guy Gardner, Hawkgirl, Mister Terrific, David Corenswet's Superman, and Supergirl are its members, promising a fresh dynamic in the DC Universe.

Peacemaker's family believes he is in Bluëhaven, a city not far from Gotham with its own colourful criminal underworld. Keith, Peacemaker's dead brother, is revealed to be an adult superhero in the new reality Peacemaker enters.

Krank Toys, an abandoned storefront, is a nod to the 2004 animated series The Batman. Sean Gunn's Maxwell Lord provides connective tissue to the wider DC Universe, having appeared briefly in Superman as the founder and bankroller of the Justice Gang.

Agent Fleury, played by Tim Meadows, is a new character in Peacemaker season 2. The agents of ARGUS express concern about Peacemaker's secret extra-dimensional space causing a dimensional rift between realities that could tear the world apart.

Amanda Waller is reported to have left ARGUS behind after the reveal of the truth about Task Force X. Red St. Cloud, an eagle hunting expert, is an original character created for Peacemaker.

Martians in DC comic books have two eyes like J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter. Rick Flag, Jr.'s death is a main element of The Suicide Squad and is considered canonical in the new DC Universe.

Imps, a race of extra-dimensional beings, are referenced in Peacemaker and Superman. White Rabbit, a Gotham City-based villain who is part of the Wonderland Gang, is also referenced in Peacemaker.

The first three episodes of Peacemaker season 2 are now streaming, with new episodes landing every week on HBO Max. The series continues to deliver on its promise of action, humour, and intrigue, making it a must-watch for DC Universe fans.
