In a heartfelt moment on the latest episode of "Immer wieder sonntags," host Stefan Mross paid tribute to his mother with a touching performance. The show, produced by Kimmig Entertainment on behalf of the SWR broadcaster, was held in the Arena of the Europa-Park in Rust.

The programme, which Mross has been hosting since 2005 with a few exceptions, started with long-lasting applause and a noticeably different atmosphere due to the emotions experienced by the host and the audience. Mross, known for his lively personality, led the show with a softer touch, quoting his mother's advice to make people laugh and sing.

Mross dedicated the emotional performance to his girlfriend Eva Luginger, his brother, and his mother, who passed away two weeks prior. He sang "Who Would I Be Without You," a song that resonated deeply with the audience and the guests, which included Beatrice Egli, Nicole, Ronja, and Maximilian Arland.

The host mentioned that the show would be different due to the emotions experienced in the last two weeks. He also expressed his thanks to his ex-wife Stefanie Hertel for hosting the show the previous week at his explicit request. Hertel stood in for Mross during a difficult time, demonstrating the strong bond between the two.

The host was visibly moved during the tribute, stating it reminded him of losing his own father 15 years ago. Mross thanked the "best audience in the world" several times during the show, expressing his gratitude for their support.

The guests on the show, who were there to offer their own contributions, could fully understand the emotions of the last two weeks, according to the host. They joined Mross in paying their respects to the much-loved host's mother, making for a poignant and memorable episode of "Immer wieder sonntags."
