Delta Introduces a Second Offer for Extra MQDs, Now Accessible on Flights, Accommodations, and Car Rentals
Delta Launches Limited-Time Offers for MQDs and SkyMiles
Delta Air Lines is offering its SkyMiles members a chance to accelerate their progress towards Medallion elite status with two new promotions.
First, a targeted offer provides a 20% bonus on Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) when booking Main Extra seats between September 1 and December 31, 2025. To be eligible, members must book these seats directly through Delta's platform within the promotional period. This offer is designed to help frequent flyers earn additional MQDs on qualifying purchases.
Eligible travel dates for the Main Extra MQD bonus offer are from October 1 through December 31, 2025. Travel for the bonus MQDs offer must be completed by October 31, 2025.
Delta is also offering a limited-time promotion for bonus MQDs on rental cars. To be eligible for this offer, bookings must be made by October 24 and travel must be completed by October 31, 2025. Customers can book directly with Delta Travel Extras to take advantage of this promotion.
The rental car promotion rewards members with 1 MQD per base dollar spent on qualifying rentals booked through the Delta Car Rentals portal. For rentals with Hertz, members can earn 4x SkyMiles per dollar spent, while with other brands such as Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, National, and Payless, members can earn 2x SkyMiles per dollar spent.
In addition to rental cars, customers can also earn additional SkyMiles on hotel stays and vacation rentals in the Delta Travel Extras portal. The earning rates vary based on the customer's Delta Medallion status tier: General members earn 4x SkyMiles per dollar spent, Silver Medallion members get 5x earnings, Gold Medallion members earn 6x, Platinum Medallion provides 7x, and Diamond Medallion members get 8x.
It's important to note that MQDs and miles may take up to 8 weeks after completion of travel to arrive. Also, bookings made through Delta Vacations do not qualify for the bonus MQDs offer. To receive the bonus earnings, names must match exactly with your credit card and SkyMiles account.
When considering the Main Extra MQD bonus offer, it's worth doing the math to see if the 20% MQD boost is worth the higher fares. The offer applies to trips within the U.S. and the Caribbean.
These promotions provide a great opportunity for Delta SkyMiles members to earn more MQDs and SkyMiles, helping them to reach Medallion elite status faster. Be sure to take advantage of these limited-time offers before they expire on October 24, 2025.
