In a surprising turn of events, members of the Kennedy family have broken their silence, escalating the ongoing family feud. Kerry Kennedy, RFK Jr.'s sister, and Joe Kennedy III, his nephew, have made strong statements calling for RFK Jr.'s resignation as head of the Department of Health and Human Services.

Kerry Kennedy took to social media platforms to label her brother as "incompetent" and "misguided." She asserted that vaccines work and are not up for debate, and that RFK Jr.'s tenure could potentially lead to the loss of innocent lives. In a show of solidarity, Joe Kennedy III also shared a statement, echoing his aunt's sentiments and highlighting the importance of moral clarity, scientific expertise, and leadership rooted in fact.

Jack Schlossberg, President Kennedy's grandson, has expressed his agreement with Kerry Kennedy and Joe Kennedy III's calls for RFK Jr.'s resignation. Schlossberg, in a previous statement, had criticised RFK Jr. for not opposing him more vocally online. He recently reposted his second-cousin's statement, adding his own commentary criticising RFK Jr.

The Associated Press and multiple other outlets have fact-checked Secretary Kennedy's comments during a Senate hearing, reporting that he made "myriad false and misleading claims" on various topics. RFK Jr. had contentious conversations with both Republicans and Democrats during the hearing about vaccine access, autism, and the state of the C.D.C.

Besides Kerry Kennedy and Joe Kennedy III, more than 1,000 current and former employees of the Department of Health and Human Services have recently called for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s resignation as head of the department.

Caroline Hallemann, Digital Director at Town & Country, where she covers various topics including culture, society, entertainment, and the British royal family, has been following the Kennedy family closely. Hallemann, who lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband and their son, Tommy, is currently writing a book about the Kennedy family and the British royals. Hallemann can be found on Instagram at the handle @challemann and on TikTok at @carolinehallemann.

The Kennedy family's public feud continues to unfold, with the latest developments marking a significant shift in the family's stance towards RFK Jr. and his role as head of the Department of Health and Human Services.
