University Welcome Week Continues with Exciting Events
The university's welcome week is in full swing, and new faces are joining the community every day. Among the newcomers are Dhriti, a staff member from Balmahata attached to the Wellbeing and Inclusion team, and Cindy, hailing from LussVegas, Nevada.
Dhriti is not the only one looking forward to the upcoming events. A ceilidh is being proposed for Friday, September 26th, and an individual has reached out to Rory or Duncan, asking if they can arrange it. However, at the time of writing, there are no search results providing information about Rory and Duncan or their involvement in arranging a Ceilidh on that date.
In the meantime, tonight, a treat is in store for all as a takeaway from DucBa restaurant, offering Asian fusion with a Highland twist, will be provided. After the meal, there will be a stroll up to Authors Settee.
The university community is also extending a warm welcome to Benito Lomondo, who hails from Verona. Benito has kindly offered to sing if a shepherds hut is available. A question has been raised about the availability of shepherds huts, but no confirmation has been received yet.
The welcome week has been great so far, and the university's motto, "There are no strangers at the university, only new friends to meet," seems to be ringing true. Another newcomer, Selene, is from Alexandria, Egypt.
In addition to the new students, it seems that the university staff is also growing. Brodie, a doctor on site at the university, completed his studies there and is now a part of the team.
About twenty or so Campus Compadres are being invited for the proposed ceilidh. All the invited individuals have student discount rail passes, so if you're a student and haven't received an invitation yet, it might be worth checking your inbox.
The individual planning the ceilidh is about to visit another campus and has promised to text or call on Friday morning with further details. Stay tuned for more updates on the university's welcome week events!
