Department leader in Herzogenaurach now is Rainer Schramm.

Rainer Schramm, a seasoned police officer with a distinguished career, has taken over as the head of the Police Inspectorate in Herzogenaurach. Schramm assumed his new role on July 1, 2025, following the departure of Alexander Bugla, who is now pursuing studies at the Police Academy.

Born in Fürth in 1979, Schramm began his career in the Bavarian Police in Nuremberg in 1997, joining the middle police service (2nd QE). After completing his training, Schramm served in a special unit before transferring to the patrol service at the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Police Inspectorate.

Schramm's career trajectory continued to ascend as he worked at the criminal police and the asylum service of the Zirndorf Police Inspectorate. His exceptional performance earned him a promotion to the 3rd qualification level and a spot in a promotion program for the 4th qualification level.

In Herzogenaurach, Schramm is eager to build on the excellent work of his predecessors and shape it to meet the needs of the community. He emphasises the importance of maintaining close contact and open communication with network partners to ensure the continued safety and security of the town.

The First Mayor, Dr. German Hacker, welcomes Schramm and is glad that the police station is now back in steady hands. The President of the Police Headquarters Mittelfranken, Mr. Adolf Blöchl, officially inaugurated Schramm into his position.

Blöchl, who is also the president of the police college where Alexander Bugla studies, expressed gratitude for Bugla's reliable leadership over the past year and wished him success in his studies at the Police Academy.

Schramm's leadership experience dates back to his time as a deputy shift leader at a police station. He has learned the police profession from the ground up and is now ready for a long-term and trusting cooperation with security partners in Herzogenaurach.

The excellent work of the police has created a feeling of security in Herzogenaurach, and the presence of the police is explicitly desired by the Herzogenaurachers. Schramm intends to influence the station's direction and strengthen the trust of citizens in the police.

In addition to his duties as the head of the Police Inspectorate, Schramm places great importance on fostering relationships with community partners to ensure a safe and secure environment for all residents of Herzogenaurach.
