Devastated Father of Deceased Burning Man Participant Urges Change as Abolition of Event Gains Support
In the wake of a tragic incident at this year's Burning Man festival, a Russian national named Vadim Kruglov was found dead in a free camping area. The local medical examiner has ruled his death a homicide, with multiple stab wounds found in his chest.
Vadim, who was proactive and sociable during the opening phases of the festival, was a well-loved member of the Burning Man community. His contributions will forever remain part of its history. Sadly, Vadim passed away on September 2, 2025.
A GoFundMe page has been started to cover his funeral expenses, with Vlad Pigin, the organizer of the fundraiser, noting that the proceeds will be used to fly Vadim back to Omsk, his home city in Russia.
As the news of Vadim's death spread, calls for the cancelation of Burning Man grew louder. Netizens are questioning the festival's organizers about the security measures in place, with a poll question being posted on Bored Panda asking if they should tighten security following this year's incident.
However, the search results do not contain information about the name of the man who reported a knife attack in a WhatsApp chat and complained about cleaning blood from his RV. Witnesses have reported an unstable man bragging about his knife and claiming he had to clean blood out of his RV.
As the Burning Man community grapples with this tragedy, they are left to contemplate the future of the festival and the safety measures that need to be implemented to prevent such incidents from happening again.
