Mayor's Patronage: Mariengymnasium Essen-Werden Receives Career Choice AWARD
In a ceremony held on September 3, 2025, the Mariengymnasium Essen-Werden was awarded the Career Choice AWARD. The prestigious accolade, patronized by Mayor Thomas Kufen, recognises schools committed to career and study choice preparation.
The Mariengymnasium was chosen for its outstanding work in the field of vocational orientation. The school consistently supports and advises its students in the transition from school to work, creating the best possible conditions for young people to successfully move forward in their lives.
The Career Choice AWARD project, which awards quality seals to secondary schools in Essen since the 2023/2024 school year, is a joint initiative of our city portal and the Employment Agency Essen. The application process for the award is managed by the city portal's School and Workplace Office.
