Digital campaign initiated by Unna County Police Department for the introduction of electric scooters

The Circular Police Authority Unna is set to launch a new campaign named "Minus Aura!" on July 1, 2025. This initiative aims to prevent future E-scooter accidents within the district.

The campaign's details and updates can be found on the official website: https://unna.polizei.nrw. The campaign will be published on the WhatsApp channel, Instagram, and Facebook of the Circular Police Authority Unna.

"Minus Aura" is a term from youth slang that refers to losing charisma due to embarrassing or clumsy behavior. The campaign slogan "Minus Aura!" will be featured on the posters that will be distributed throughout the district, excluding Lünen.

Posters featuring everything that is not allowed on E-scooters will be distributed to schools, and the police have printed postcards as part of the campaign. These postcards contain short warning messages about what is not allowed on E-scooters, such as riding with two people, under the influence of alcohol, or on paths not designated for E-scooters.

The back of the postcards features short, concise facts about E-scooter usage, including the fact that riding is only permitted from the age of 14. The postcards will be distributed at citizen encounters in Circular Unna and placed in the patrol cars of police officers.

Outside of office hours, inquiries should be directed to [email protected]. For editorial inquiries, please contact [email protected].

The campaign emphasises the importance of safe and responsible E-scooter usage to ensure the well-being of all residents in the district. Join us in making Unna a safer place for everyone.
