Thousands of e-Government services are now accessible online through DigiLocker and e-District platforms across India.

Digital Government services, totaling 2,000, have been made accessible across various DigiLocker and e-District platforms nationwide.

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) has made a significant stride towards realizing the vision of the Digital India program. With the integration of e-Government services on DigiLocker and e-District platforms, all 36 states and union territories in India now have access to a wide range of citizen-centric services.

This development marks a milestone in NeGD's mission to align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a digitally enabled and inclusive India. The integrated services cover a multitude of citizen needs, including certificates, welfare schemes, utility payments, and other essential facilities.

The integrated services, designed for convenience, efficiency, and transparency, have been successfully implemented in various regions. As of the current expansion, citizens in Maharashtra have access to the highest number of services at 254. Delhi follows with 123 services, Karnataka with 113, Assam with 102, and Uttar Pradesh with 86 services.

While Kerala and Jammu & Kashmir each provide 77 services, Andhra Pradesh offers 76, and Gujarat provides 64 services. Tamil Nadu and Goa extend 63 services each, and Haryana offers 60 services, with Himachal Pradesh delivering 58 services.

NeGD's major operational areas include programme management, project development, technology management, capacity building, awareness, and communication activities under the Digital India Programme. The division has been supporting the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance Projects since 2009.

In addition to its current achievements, NeGD plans to expand the portfolio of e-Government services using an AI-driven approach. The division has developed and is managing several National Public Digital Platforms such as DigiLocker, Entity Locker, UMANG, OpenForge, API Setu, myScheme, India Stack Global Meri Pehchaan, and UX4G.

NeGD also emphasizes its commitment to continued innovation to ensure greater inclusivity and improved last-mile delivery of services. Structured training programs and workshops will be conducted to strengthen awareness at the state level.

DigiLocker, a robust pillar of India's digital public infrastructure, has emerged as a testament to NeGD's innovative and resilient framework. Its innovative structure has enabled ease of access, inclusivity, and reliability for citizens across the country.

The statement underscores the government's commitment to using technology to empower citizens and transform governance. NeGD was created by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology as an Independent Business Division under the Digital India Corporation. This move signifies the government's dedication to streamlining digital services and making them accessible to all citizens of India.
