Digital Learning Network Collaborates with UBEC to Reimagine the Fundamental Education Landscape in Nigeria

The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) has entered into a significant partnership with the Digital Learning Network, aiming to revolutionise education in Nigeria. This collaboration, announced at a recent signing ceremony, is set to provide new opportunities and transform the country's basic education system.

Thomas Larmena, Chief Executive Officer of the Digital Learning Network, and Tunde Segun Ajibulu, Deputy Executive Secretary (Services) of UBEC, were both present at the ceremony, accompanied by their respective teams. The partnership is led by Aisha Garba, head of the Universal Basic Education Commission.

The goal of this initiative is to improve learning outcomes and increase access to quality education for millions of children. It aims to do this by enhancing access to education through digital platforms and using innovative digital learning solutions.

The partnership also seeks to prepare students for success in a modern, digital world. One of the key aspects of the initiative is to improve teacher skills with training and support. Student engagement with interactive digital content is also a focus.

In addition, the Digital Learning Network has secured global partners including Huawei and Samsung for this initiative. This collaboration aims to foster a culture of technology-driven learning and innovation.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between UBEC and the Digital Learning Network is part of a broader effort to transform Nigeria's education system. The partnership is designed to transform basic education in Nigeria, contributing to a brighter future for the country's children.

This initiative is a significant step towards improving the quality of education in Nigeria and preparing its students for success in the digital age.
