Digital progression of commercial enterprises within the nation

Baden-Württemberg, a German state known for its thriving economy and technological innovation, has announced a new call for the promotion of regional Digital Hubs. The funding call, published by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism, aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across industries in their digitalization efforts.

The regional Digital Hubs serve as information and experimentation spaces, making the opportunities of digital technologies tangible for SMEs. By connecting the existing strengths of Baden-Württemberg's SMEs with the possibilities of new digital technologies like artificial intelligence and metaverse, these hubs are expected to play a crucial role in the state's digital transformation.

In the third funding round, eleven new regional Digital Hubs will be financed in the different parts of Baden-Württemberg, with one hub in each of the eleven regional innovation systems across the state. The maximum funding amount per regional Digital Hub is 500,000 euros, and a total of 5.3 million euros is available until 2028.

Institutions that want to set up a new regional Digital Hub, as well as existing ones, are encouraged to apply. The projects are scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2026 and have a duration of two years. The deadline for submitting project outlines is October 24, 2025, at 12:00 noon.

This funding call presents an excellent opportunity for institutions and SMEs in Baden-Württemberg to explore the potential of digital technologies and contribute to the state's digital future.
