Business Growth Dialogue Held in Mehsana to Boost MSMEs and Startups
The Business Growth Dialogue, a new event focused on promoting business growth and innovation, took place in Mehsana on September 5, 2021. The event, organised by the Foundation and GESIA IT Association, was held at the Namo Centre, iHub, and attracted over 200 participants from the business, government, and academic sectors.
The roundtable was moderated by Mr. Sanjay Nayak, President of the FICCI, who emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government, industry, and academia for business growth and innovation. The keynote speaker at the event was Mr. Amitabh Kant, CEO of NITI Aayog, who highlighted the role of technology in driving growth and innovation.
The panel discussion featured Ms. Renuka Ramnath, MD & CEO of Multiples Alternate Asset Management, Mr. Rajesh Jani, Chairman of GESIA IT Association, and Mr. Ravi Sehgal, Managing Director of Deloitte India. The discussion focused on the challenges and opportunities for MSMEs in the region, and strategies for scaling up businesses.
Mr. Jani discussed the role of the ecosystem in supporting startups and MSMEs, and the need for mentorship and networking opportunities. Mr. Sehgal highlighted the importance of digital transformation for businesses, and the need for MSMEs to adopt technology to stay competitive. Ms. Ramnath emphasized the need for access to capital and risk capital for MSMEs to grow and innovate.
The Business Growth Dialogue was part of a series of events under the Gujarat Innovation Dialogue Series, which previously took place in Vadodara and Ahmedabad. The event in Mehsana aimed to extend the conversation on MSME growth and startup competitiveness to North Gujarat, spotlighting opportunities for entrepreneurs and MSMEs in the area. The event concluded with a networking session, providing opportunities for attendees to connect and collaborate.
