In the vast realm of music, two universes stand apart: the Baxxter universe, home to the electronic dance music group Scooter, and the Mille universe, where heavy metal band Kreator thrives.

Scooter, known for its studio-heavy production, often relies on playing pre-recorded material during live performances. On the other hand, Kreator, a metal band renowned for its instrumental prowess, performs its music live, creating a fundamentally different approach to music and performance.

The documentary "Hate & Hope", which delves into the lives of Kreator band members, was filmed without any staging or clichés. Mille Petrozza's visit to the Buchenwald memorial, a poignant event in the band's history, was also genuine and not staged for the camera.

The title "Hate & Hope" was chosen after careful consideration. "Hate" in the Kreator universe is a recurring term with a history of social criticism and a youthful attitude against injustices. Contrastingly, "Hope" represents a certain hope that the world could still change for the better.

Kreator, with its extremely hard sound and lyrics that never glorify violence, has gained a large, international fan base. The band's music, considered groundbreaking, has significantly influenced many greats of the genre.

The band, formed in Essen in 1982 by Miland "Mille" Petrozza and Jürgen "Ventor" Reil, still fills large halls in various continents. They have always actively waved their flag against right-wing extremism.

Mille Petrozza, a vegan, yoga enthusiast, and cyclist, does not identify as a teetotaler. He expressed that one should not take oneself too seriously and that life and existence should not be overvalued.

Meanwhile, in the Baxxter universe, Cordula Kablitz-Post and Lucas Wesche, along with André Wesche, recently accompanied Scooter cinematically. Cordula, the director of the Kreator documentary, encountered difficulties finding a station for the film but was eventually successful with WDR.

In contrast to Mille's roughness, Cordula handled the filming process sensitively. Scooter's production is largely played out on stage, while the main work happens in the studio. The band's music has a great respect in the dance music scene.

Despite the significant differences between the two universes, both Kreator and Scooter continue to captivate audiences worldwide, each in their unique way.
