Disney+ debuts Ethan Hawke's eccentric new series, showcased by its inaugural trailer

Disney+ is set to release a new series on September 24, titled "The Lowdown". This mystery drama, created, executive produced, written, and directed by Sterlin Harjo, promises to be a captivating watch.

The series follows the life of Lee Raybon, a local nut in Tulsa who uncovers stories and conspiracies. Played by Ethan Hawke, Raybon is known for his somewhat unclear record as to whether his stories are true. His teenage daughter, however, seems to be the more responsible half of their relationship, often trying to keep him out of trouble.

Lee Raybon's investigative journalism leads him to a powerful local family, some members of which are played by renowned actors like Kyle MacLachlan. MacLachlan's character may be an adversary to Raybon in the series. Peter Dinklage also joins the cast as one of Raybon's associates.

Sterlin Harjo, who previously worked on the widely-acclaimed series "Reservation Dogs", is at the helm of "The Lowdown". The series is said to have a twist, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.

While "The Lowdown" may not break into the mainstream, it could become a cult hit. With its intriguing plot and star-studded cast, it's a highly-awaited follow-up to "Reservation Dogs".

Lee Raybon's life takes a dramatic turn when he finds a tranche of documents that pull him further into the story. His attempts to place his stories in local papers meet with mixed success, but the stakes are raised when one of his pieces leads to the death of Tim Blake Nelson's character.

"The Lowdown" promises to be a gripping drama that keeps viewers guessing. With its premiere on Disney+ on September 24, fans won't have to wait long to find out what happens next.
