The eagerly anticipated Disney theme park on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE, continues to capture the imagination of theme park enthusiasts worldwide. However, the official name of the park remains a mystery, with various speculations circulating.

The exact name of the park was not revealed in Disney's press release or on the Yas Island website. However, the authors and a colleague, who are the only journalists worldwide specializing in covering the theme park industry for national media with nearly 25 years of experience, were tipped off about the Abu Dhabi park by an extremely senior source and broke the news on social media before the official announcement.
The choice of the name "Emirates" would make sense as the resort is likely to have an impact on the entire country, not just Abu Dhabi. The authors' source also suggested that the park's name may include the word "Disneyland", similar to other Disney resorts around the world.
Disney's European outpost started as Euro Disney Resort before changing names to Disneyland Resort Paris and finally Disneyland Paris. This history suggests that the park's name may evolve over time.
