Disordered crowd hurls rocks at local administrative building, assaulting individuals within
Yesterday, an unsettling series of events unfolded in the Central District of the city. The day began with an act of vandalism at the district office on Klosterstraße, followed by a distressing assault on a woman at a nearby bank.
The perpetrator, who remains unidentified, was involved in both incidents. Witnesses reported that they were pelted with a glass bottle by the suspect, but fortunately, they remained unharmed. The glass bottle used in the incident was found at the scene.
In the afternoon, the suspect assaulted another woman, aged 55, who is currently receiving medical treatment. This incident occurred at the bank where the initial assault took place, causing the bank to temporarily close.
Two witnesses, a 17-year-old and a 63-year-old, attempted to intervene in the incident. The younger witness provided a statement to the police about the events, while the older witness reported the incidents to the authorities.
The woman whose hair was pulled during the incident initially left the scene without giving a statement to the police. However, another woman later claimed that she was struck by the suspect during the incident.
The investigation into these incidents is being handled by a specialized unit from Police Directorate 5 (City). They have obtained security camera footage from the area for further investigation. As of now, the suspect remains at large.
The community is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities. Further updates on the investigation will be provided as more information becomes available.
