District of Mussum under Storm Operations led by FW Bocholt
In the heart of Bocholt, Germany, the local fire department sprang into action on Wednesday evening as they responded to multiple weather-related incidents.
The main focus of the response was in the Mussum district, where a suspected tornado caused the complete destruction of a residence's roof. Miraculously, no one was injured in the incident. Surrounding residential buildings in the Mussum district were also damaged by debris. To aid in the clean-up, assistance from ESB personnel was utilised at Loikumer Weg for tree removal.
Due to the extensive damage, the house in the Mussum district was uninhabitable. At several other locations, fallen trees were removed, but no further information is provided about the nature or extent of the incidents.
Bocholt Fire Department had 50 personnel on site for approximately 3 hours to manage these incidents. Michael Burhoff, a contact person at the Bocholt Fire Department, was instrumental in coordinating the response.
