Dog enjoying a dip at the closing of Heide's outdoor pool during autumn
In the charming city of Solingen, dog lovers and their furry friends are in for a treat! From September 11 to September 22, the traditional dog swimming event and a special market will take place at the Heide outdoor pool.
These events are not daily occurrences but are part of the end-of-season activities, providing a unique opportunity for dogs to enjoy a splash before the pool closes for the winter. The event is organised by the initiative #hundimfreibad in cooperation with pet insurer Cleos Welt, who support dog swimming days at public pools and provide expertise and promotion for such events.
The dog swimming event hours are from 12.00 to 18.00 each day. Entry for dogs is 3 euros per session, with no charge for their owners. For those planning multiple visits, a five-entry pass for dogs costs 15 euros, with the sixth entry free.
But that's not all! On September 15, an "All About Dogs Market" will also be held at the same location. Whether you're looking for new toys, accessories, or just a chance to meet fellow dog enthusiasts, this market promises to be a pawsome addition to the event.
Please note that a vaccination certificate is required for dogs at the entrance. These events are not ongoing; they have specific start and end dates, so mark your calendars and join in the fun! Whether you're a seasoned swimmer or just looking for a fun day out, the dog swimming event and market at Solingen's Heide outdoor pool are not to be missed.
