In the heart of Solingen, from the 11th to the 15th of September, and again from the 18th to the 22nd, a beloved tradition returns to Freibad Heide: the annual "Splashing Fun for Furry Friends" dog swimming event. This event, happening alongside the "Rund-um-den-Hund-Markt" on the 15th of September, invites dog owners and their pets to enjoy a day of fun in the water.
For those participating in the dog swimming event, an entry fee of 3 Euros per dog applies. However, visitors will be pleased to know that there is no charge for the dog owners. For those planning to attend multiple times, a five-entry card is available for 15 Euros, offering a discount on the sixth entry, which is free.
Before entering the event, dog owners must present their furry friend's vaccination record at the entrance to ensure the health and safety of all participants. The event hours are from 12:00 to 18:00 each day.
