Breaking News: Dortmund Police Recover Stolen Laptops Worth a Mid-Five-Figure Amount
A burglary at a media house in Dortmund, Germany, on June 28, 2025, resulted in the theft of several laptops, valued in the mid-five-figure range. After extensive investigations, the Dortmund Police, in collaboration with the public prosecutor's office, were able to arrest a suspect and recover the stolen goods.
The suspected employee involved in the laptop theft is a 59-year-old staff member of the media company. On July 31, 2025, searches were conducted at the suspect's residence and a rented "Storebox". During the search, the stolen goods were found. The suspect confessed to the burglary during police questioning.
