Dortmund-Wischlingen's Nocturnal Firefighting Scenario - Domestic Blaze Quickly Suppressed

In the early hours of last night, the Dortmund Fire Department responded to an alarm for a residential fire on Rahmer Straße. The blaze, which occurred at midnight, was quickly contained and brought under control by firefighters from Fire Stations 5 (Marten), 8 (Eichlinghofen), 9 (Mengede), the command service, and volunteers from Fire Station 21 (Bodelschwingh).

The fire was situated on the second floor of a building. Fortunately, all residents had evacuated the building before the firefighters arrived. One person was unfortunately injured by smoke and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Six others were checked by emergency services at the scene, but no further injuries were reported.

The apartment where the fire originated and the one directly below it are currently uninhabitable due to the damage caused by the fire. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by the criminal police, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
