In an unfortunate incident, a traffic collision occurred on Saturday, 29.08.20, at 21:50, at the junction of Düsseldorf Street and Rhine Tower Street in Düsseldorf. The incident involved a 29-year-old woman from Neuss driving an Audi Q5 and a 31-year-old man from Jüchen driving a VW Scirocco.

According to reports, the Audi driver intended to continue straight ahead towards Düsseldorf, while the Scirocco was attempting to turn left into Rhine Tower Street. Both parties involved in the accident stated that their respective traffic lights were showing green. However, the exact cause of the collision is still under investigation by the responsible traffic commission.

The area was closed off for the duration of the accident investigation. The occupants of the Scirocco were seriously injured and taken to hospitals, while the occupants of the Audi were uninjured. The police are seeking witnesses to the incident and request information at tel. no. 02131 300-0.
