Dresden witnesses a horrific heist targeting DSC supporters
In an unexpected turn of events, a disturbing incident occurred at the Steyer Stadium near the fan area of the DSC footballers on Sunday. Six individuals, aged between 19 and 25, broke into the area and proceeded to commit aggravated robbery and dangerous bodily harm.
The perpetrators, who were quickly apprehended following witness tips, stole around 20 flags and other fan items, leaving two DSC fans beaten and injured. The victims suffered pain and injuries as they were repeatedly struck on the head during the attack.
Two of the suspects have a warrant of arrest issued for them. The two suspects for whom an arrest warrant was immediately requested after their arrest are a 30-year-old German man detained on September 4, 2025, in Dresden for suspected manslaughter of his partner's nine-month-old son, and a 17-year-old student in Essen who attacked a teacher with a stabbing weapon, with the arrest warrant issued shortly after his capture. The identities of the remaining four suspects and their status in terms of arrest warrants are not specified.
The Dresden Public Prosecutor's Office is investigating all six suspects for aggravated robbery and dangerous bodily harm. The investigations by the Dresden Public Prosecutor's Office and the Dresden Police Directorate against all six suspects are ongoing.
Authorities have not disclosed the nature of the items stolen, other than flags and fan items. The victims are expected to recover from their injuries, but the investigations are expected to take some time.
