Driver involved in hit-and-run collision sustain injuries alongside passenger Sozia
On September 7th, at 19:40, a traffic accident occurred on the L497 near Bad Münstereifel-Lanzerath. The accident involved a motorcycle and a car, and both the motorcyclist and the pillion passenger were injured.
The motorcyclist, a 30-year-old individual from Euskirchen, was driving with a 25-year-old pillion passenger. According to reports, the car was driving towards the motorcycle in the middle of its lane. To avoid a collision, the motorcyclist had to swerve to the right and ended up in the adjacent ditch.
As a result of the swerve, both the motorcyclist and the pillion passenger fell off the motorcycle. They were taken to hospitals by ambulance for treatment.
The vehicle believed to be involved in the accident is a blue compact car, and the brand name is Opel. However, the driver of the car fled the scene after the accident.
