In the heart of Portugal, the Local Health Unit of Coimbra (ULS of Coimbra) announced the birth of a new baby boy named Duarte on Thursday morning. Born at 7:00, Duarte weighed 3,185 grams, making him a healthy addition to the country.

The ULS of Coimbra expressed their congratulations to Duarte's family and encouraged listeners to choose the ULS of Coimbra for a safe birth in the National Health Service. The ULS of Coimbra even jokingly compared Duarte to the Morning team of Comercial, as he seems to share their early-bird spirit.

While Duarte was making his entrance into the world, Portugal saw a decrease in births last year, with a total of 80,059 births. However, the Autonomous Region of Madeira, West and Tejo Valley, Greater Lisbon, and the Setubal Peninsula were the only regions where the number of births increased. In contrast, the North and the Alentejo and Algarve saw a decrease of 3.5% and 2.4%, respectively. The Autonomous Region of the Azores had the most significant decrease (-8.7%).

Duarte was referred to as "the most famous baby of yesterday morning" by the ULS of Coimbra. He was also mentioned in an infrastructure and management context related to Coimbra, but no further personal details are provided in the search results.

The mother of Duarte made headlines herself when she called Radio Comercial while on her way to the Daniel de Matos Maternity Hospital and received a "push" from the broadcasters.

A total of 82,911 births took place in a hospital establishment, while 841 births occurred at home. Duarte was one of 307 births that took place in another location. The mother and child are well after the birth, and the ULS of Coimbra will continue to take care of them until they can go home.

As for Duarte, he appears to be ready to "grab the world," according to the ULS of Coimbra. With his birth, he has brought a sense of hope and excitement to the community of Coimbra and beyond.
