The Powerball jackpot, which had been building for over 40 draws, was finally won on November 8, 2022. The winning numbers for the historic draw were 11, 23, 44, 61, 62, and the red Powerball - 17, with a multiplier of 2.

Matt Stawn, CEO of the Iowa Lottery, emphasized the importance of each ticket sold during the Powerball jackpot run. He stated that each $2 ticket not only gave players a chance at the prize but also supported public programs and services in their communities.

Each winner of the Powerball jackpot now has the option to choose an annuity of $893.5 million or a lump sum payment of $410.3 million. The identities of the winners have not yet been revealed.
