That man is Ed Sheeran, the "Shape of You" singer and a self-proclaimed film enthusiast. Each year on his birthday, he treats himself to a new piece of film history, building a collection that sets new standards for collectors.
Sheeran's collection includes items from various movies, with a particular focus on the film classic "Hook" (1991) and the controversial Batman film, "Batman & Robin." The treasure chamber houses Robin Williams' Pan costume and Julia Roberts' Tinker Bell outfit from "Hook," as well as Alicia Silverstone's Batgirl outfit and George Clooney's original Batman costume from "Batman & Robin."
Clooney, who only played the Dark Knight once, is unsure if his Batman suit will join Sheeran's collection. The potential acquisition is still uncertain, adding to the intrigue surrounding Sheeran's ever-growing collection.
Sheeran's favourite piece, however, is a replica of C-3PO from Star Wars. The robot, which stands tall amidst an array of costumes and props, is a constant reminder of Sheeran's childhood dreams.
By building a museum for film fans under his garden, Sheeran is making those dreams come true. The tunnel leading to a private cinema with an attached listening room serves as the entrance to his personal treasure chamber.
Every year, Sheeran invests in one prop for his collection. His hobby of collecting memorabilia from the film world continues to grow, with no signs of slowing down. As he looks forward to his annual investment, fans eagerly await the addition of George Clooney's original Batman costume to Sheeran's collection.
