Elderly Man Reportedly Stolen of Gold Chain - Witnesses Called to Testify
In the heart of Essen, Germany, a 65-year-old woman fell victim to a daring theft on July 5th, at around 12:30 PM. The incident occurred on the sidewalk of Haus-Berge-Straße, leaving the community in shock.
The thief, described as a thin woman in her 30s with an Eastern European appearance, approached the victim from the backseat of a black BMW. Accompanied by two men and another woman, the trio was the primary suspect in the crime.
During the conversation, the thief feigned kindness, handing the victim a gold ring and inquiring about the nearest hospital. However, as the woman leaned in to answer, the thief seized the opportunity to snatch the gold chain from her neck before swiftly fleeing with her accomplices.
The BMW, bearing a yellow license plate, made its escape unrecognised. The driver, a sturdy man in his 40s with short black hair and a dark beard, was behind the wheel.
The Criminal Investigation Department 13 of the Essen police has taken over the investigation and is urgently seeking witnesses to the incident.
