Elderly motorcyclist meets tragic demise in road crash
In the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district, a tragic incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, involving a motorcycle and a car on the federal highway B203 near Goosefeld.
The 85-year-old driver of the car was attempting to cross the B203 when the collision occurred. Unfortunately, the 75-year-old motorcyclist, who was traveling from Eckernförde towards Rendsburg, did not survive the accident.
Initial police investigations suggest the collision was caused by the 85-year-old driver crossing the highway. The 85-year-old driver sustained minor injuries in the accident.
Emergency services resuscitated the 75-year-old motorcyclist at the scene, but despite their efforts, the motorcyclist later passed away. No further details about the accident, such as the exact location or the condition of the motorcyclist before the collision, were provided.
