Elderly resident advocates for prohibition of barbecues and impels neighbors with gas pressure weapon
In an unusual incident reported by news aktuell, a 78-year-old man from Hagen, Germany, threatened his neighbors with a blank-firing pistol while they were grilling in their garden on Thursday, 04.09.2025.
According to the report, the man made the threat after asking his neighbors to turn off their grill and gave them 15 minutes to comply. A 23-year-old neighbor, concerned by the threat, called the police immediately.
Upon arrival, the Hagen Police secured the 9-mm pistol that the man had pulled out from his pocket to emphasize his demand. The police confirmed that the weapon was a blank-firing pistol. As a result, a report was filed for violating the weapons law due to the incident.
