Elderly resident victimized by robbery - Police Report No. 0584
In the quiet neighbourhood of Obervieland, Bremen, an 85-year-old man was the victim of a robbery on Monday morning. The criminal, yet unidentified, made off with the senior's money and jewelry.
The incident occurred around 9:00 AM, and the perpetrator assaulted the elderly man, causing severe bruises. The senior, however, became suspicious and gave chase as the man grabbed the bags and fled towards the Karl-Carstens Bridge (Strawberry Bridge).
Sadly, the assailant managed to escape with the loot. The Police Bremen have taken over the investigation and are urging anyone with information to contact their Criminal Duty Office at 0421 362-3888.

Moreover, be wary of scammers posing as police officers or officials. In the aftermath of the robbery, the victim received a call from individuals claiming to be police officers, asking about jewelry and valuables that needed to be examined by a "profiler." These calls were, in fact, a scam.
