It's election day, and the results are starting to roll in. Here's a snapshot of what's happening around town.

In the 2024 California elections, two propositions have received a yes endorsement. Proposition 2, with a $10-billion bond aimed at improving public schools and community colleges, has been approved. Proposition 3, which affirms that bigotry toward same-sex couples has no place in California, has also received a yes vote.

In the Bellflower Unified School District, Cintron has a comfortable lead, while the race in the ABC Unified School District sees Mendoza and Bui in a similar position.

The Bellflower City Council race is proving to be a close one, with Morse currently ahead. However, Edna Preciado is giving him a tough fight. Interestingly, Koops and Sanchez are unopposed in this year's City Council race.

The Presidential endorsement for this year's election goes to Kamala Harris.

A special interest bill failed in the election, while a tax measure passed.
