Electrical Vehicle Transition Aid Introduced by Webfeet to Navigate Fleets Towards Electrification
Webfleet, a fleet management solution by Bridgestone, has recently unveiled the EV Transition Tool. This innovative tool is designed to help fleet managers overcome obstacles and simplify the electrification process.
The EV Transition Tool is part of the EV Services Platform, launched by Bridgestone Mobility Solutions and Webfleet in early 2024. This platform connects fleet managers to energy and mobility service providers, making fully-fledged charging solutions more accessible.
The tool offers quick total cost of ownership (TCO) estimations for fleets, enabling them to initiate their electrification journey without extensive consultancy. It assesses the best EV models and needed charging infrastructure for fleets, providing a comprehensive analysis based on fleet data.
The goal of the EV Transition Tool, as stated by Taco Olthoff, EV Programme Director of Bridgestone Mobility Solutions, is to remove guesswork based on fleet data. Users can also access expert partners for support in the electrification process within the tool.
Notable partners integrated within the platform include Evolt Charging (for fleet and workplace charging) and InstaVolt (for public and on-street charging), recognised in the industry context of Webfleet’s platform innovations. Fully-fledged charging solutions are now more accessible through the EV Services Platform, with initial partners including VEV, Heliox, The Mobility House, CTEK, Justplugin, ChargeGuru, and Zeplug.
The Webfleet EV Transition Tool is initially available for cars and vans and will expand to other features and vehicle types in the future. European Webfleet customers subscribed to special tariffs will not incur any extra costs to use fleet data for customized electrification plans.
The 'EV Transition Tool' assesses fleet data to determine the level of readiness for electrification, helping fleet managers make informed decisions about their transition to electric vehicles. With the EV Transition Tool, fleet managers can embark on their electrification journey with confidence, knowing they have a reliable tool to guide them.
