Emergency on the 7th motorway: DOLL administers initial aid near hotel district
On September 2, 2025, a significant incident occurred on the A7 motorway near Hotteln. A car accident involving two cars and a truck took place, causing a brief disruption on the busy highway.
The first responders on the scene were the customs officers from the Main Customs Office of Brunswick. They arrived at the accident site shortly after the incident and, along with a colleague from the Financial Control Black Work department, provided initial first aid to one of the drivers. The customs officers also blocked the right lane of the highway to ensure safety.
Before other emergency services arrived, the customs officers and a bomb disposal unit were already on the scene. The bomb disposal unit took care of the driver of the other crashed vehicle shortly after their arrival.
Four fire trucks and the highway police also arrived at the scene, completely blocking the A7 for a short time. A total of 20 emergency services were on duty, including a doctor and two ambulances, who arrived later.
Two wrecked cars and two slightly injured occupants were discovered at the accident site. The customs officers initiated an emergency call to summon further assistance. The highway was blocked for a short period due to the arrival of the emergency services.
After approximately two hours, the first lane of the highway was reopened again. However, no further details were provided about the condition of the injured occupants after the arrival of the additional emergency services.
The quick action of the customs officers undoubtedly played a crucial role in managing the initial response to the accident, ensuring the safety of those involved and facilitating the arrival of further assistance.
