Emirates Broadens Premium Economy Class Offerings Throughout Middle East and Western Asia
Emirates, the Dubai-based airline, is enhancing its passenger experience by introducing next-generation Airbus A350s, retrofitted Airbus A380s, and Boeing 777s with Premium Economy on flights to several cities, including Amman, Mumbai, Muscat, and Bahrain.
Starting October 26, Amman will have daily A380 services with Premium Economy on EK903/904. Mumbai will receive a retrofitted Boeing 777 on EK504/505 from October 26, providing the latest cabins on 22 weekly flights.
Muscat and Bahrain will experience the Emirates' signature A350 and retrofitted Boeing 777 services, respectively, starting October 30 and December 4. The move aims to offer a more consistent and elevated experience across Emirates' network.
Bahrain will be served exclusively with aircraft featuring Premium Economy and upgraded Business Class once the deployment is fully completed. Mumbai will benefit from Emirates' signature A350 experience on all nine weekly flights starting October 30.
So far, the A350 is operating to 15 destinations within Emirates' network, with nine A350s currently in service. The A350 fleet represents 4% of the aircraft being operated by Emirates.
The retrofit program, one of the largest in aviation history, refurbishes one aircraft every three weeks. As of now, 67 aircraft have been updated out of a planned 219, including 110 A380s and 109 Boeing 777s. By year-end, Emirates expects to offer more than 2 million Premium Economy seats, an increase from the current 1.8 million.
Emirates is increasing Premium Economy availability to over 635 weekly flights, serving 68 cities by winter 2025. The A380 and Boeing 777 are the primary aircraft types being retrofitted as part of Emirates' program.
The deployment is aimed at enhancing the passenger experience, with the new Premium Economy offering additional comfort and amenities for travellers. The airline aims to provide a consistent and elevated experience across its network, making travel more enjoyable for its passengers.
