The British Embassy in Rabat has announced a vacancy for a Part-time IT Support Officer (ITSO). The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the Embassy's main IT system and FCO business applications.
To be considered for the role, applicants must have a high standard of spoken and written English, with an IELTS score of at least 7 or equivalent. A bilingual level of spoken and written French is also required.
The IT Support Officer will work as part of a team and independently, and will be the first point of contact for various IT-related queries. This includes utilities management, such as REDAL, installation, monitoring consumption, billing, and recording in Pyramid. The officer will also be responsible for administering and maintaining the Embassy's standalone machines and local area networks.
The IT Support Officer will also act as a backup for closing and opening diplomatic bags and will provide a focal point for IT users in Rabat and the IT Support Officer in Casablanca. Additionally, the officer will be the first point of contact for official telephones and internet connections, including residential and office landlines, mobile phones, and official internet subscriptions.
The successful candidate will be subject to confirmation of a background and security clearance. They will report to the Head of Corporate Services in Rabat and will ensure the integrity of the system by reporting and investigating any potential breaches of security.
The key competences required for this job are Delivering Results, Customer Focus, Working with Others, and Problem Solving. The monthly gross salary for this job is DH 6058 based on 19 hours a week.
